How fun to get all formal and go out on the town to dine and dance… taking these images brought back some great memories of my high school years
. Don’t they look amazing?? I was so excited to be snapping away at their beautiful dresses and shiny shoes… they probably thought I was such a nerd… But its worth it to have captured this night, no?

While we were back in Illinois, we took some family photos. We were able to use this awesome warehouse (thank you, Matt!!!), and after the kids chased each other through the boxes and dust, we got them settled down enough (who wants a Pringle?) to line them up and capture their ages and cuteness at the current moment… the quickly passing moment… I am so glad to have these treasured images of my family

And now for the last session of the year! This family had the great idea of getting some fall color in their session, and we found some gorgeous spots. We chased geese, almost fell in creeks, watched people in very formal attire do their own photo shoot, and we froze. None of us realized how chilly it actually was out, and once that sun started going down…. brrr!! For central California anyway
. But most of all, we had a blast! Nidever Family, how fun to watch your boys so full of life! What little blessings… And it is ever so clear that you know that with all your heart
.
Oh so sweet…
This poor little guy wasn’t feeling so great a little ways into the shoot… Nothin’ like some Daddy lovin’ to help you feel better…
Love this action shot…

I love it when I get to do a photo shoot with friends and they laugh the whole time and make me laugh and go with me on all the crazy ideas I have
. I drug these poor friends on a mile hike right at dinner time and then proceeded to lose my keys on the walk back to our cars… Fortunately Jason found them, and as the sun had pretty much set by this time, we walked back in the dark. I think they forgave me, though, because they made us an incredible turkey dinner for Thanksgiving…
Thank you, Barton Fam, for such a great afternoon, for all you do in our community (which is A LOT), and for your friendship! You guys are amazing!
Have you ever seen so many good-lookin’ kids? I’m just sayin’…
And Nora… BEAUTIFUL.
Love this one…
