HER conference! Image

HER conference!

November 15, 2011

At the beginning of this month, I was so incredibly blessed to attend a photography conference with some of my favorite photographers!  My husband surprised me with a ticket all the way back in April (have I said how completely wonderful he is lately??), so the fact that it was actually time to head on out to Grand Rapids was almost surreal ;-).  I was quite nervous to be out there on my own not knowing a single person, but I was blown away by how friendly everyone was and how much fun I had being with so many people with the common passion of creating beautiful images.

Here is the HER Creative Team of Ben & Laura Harrison (of Harrison Studio, H2O Creative Album Templates, and Folio Websites), Tim & Dee Hasberger (of Color Inc and Red Letter Words), and Jaclyn Nelson getting us all fired up the first night the conference started…

Jessica Claire spoke the first evening about “The Business of Change”… and showed us adorable pics of her new little man ;-)…

It was so fun to meet Angie Arthur and Amy Locurto from I Heart Faces!  I LOVE their site and have entered a few of their contests here and there and find them SO encouraging!

And Bobbi from Bobbi+Mike came by with a fitting topic of “Why So Serious?!” 😉  Great stuff… she is one hilarious gal…

I actually didn’t know of Sarah Rhoads before the conference, and she was easily one of my absolute favs.  Fell in love with her story and her work…

Chenin Boutwell is amazing.  A rock star.  She does a million things and does them all really well and has it all organized and well managed and everything.  Amazing.

If Amy Wenzel wasn’t inspiring, I don’t know who is.  She spoke on “Finding Your Creative Voice” and I was so challenged to not be afraid of who I am and to GO FOR IT.

These were only a few of the speakers.  Yup.  There were more.  Incredible wisdom shared.  If you were not there this year, now you know… you should have been there!!  Get it on your calendar for two-zero-one-two.  HER Conference.

You can probably tell by the above images that the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel was STUNNING… But if you couldn’t, here’s one more just to help get the point across…
