capturing life | reflecting art
I think I was about 8 years old when my grandma gave me her vintage Brownie camera. I was often found snapping pictures from then on — during family vacations, at birthday celebrations, of my sisters making silly faces… But when our first child was born 13 years ago, I started realizing the passion I truly had to create a beautiful photo. Life is always changing… kids grow, we lose people we love, we add new people to our families and lives. I cherish being able to remember each part of it along the way, and I adore helping others remember each part, too, for a lifetime. The more I strive to learn how to capture it all in the best way I possibly can, the more it is just in my blood — I tell my husband it is like a disease! Ha! A mighty good disease
. It’s amazing to me to walk around and see so many things around me as possible portraits… if I have my camera with me, its hard for me to pull it away from my eye. And if I don’t, you can usually hear me saying, “Oh! Look at that! I wish I had my camera!”
I am a mom of 2 ornery, handsome boys, and 1 fun-loving, creative daughter. These 3, along with my husband and I, currently live in Downers Grove, IL. If you are longing to remember this special moment in time, I would love to come along side you and help you capture the moment as art for a lifetime.
