Month: March, 2014
Class of 2015! Are you excited?!? Maybe you haven’t thought much about the fact that your senior year is just a few months away… or maybe you are counting the seconds until you can say “YEP. I’M A SENIOR.” Any way you look at it, you may want to start thinking about some senior photos. Before your palms start getting all sweaty and you close this tab, just wait a sec… because I promise, they really can be a fun thing! Seriously. I want to work with you to create a personalized, creative, unique experience that is all about you. That represents who you are, that brings out the beauty and character that is beyond the surface. That makes the inside of you shine out in an image. Those kind of photos. If that sounds like maybe it might be a doable thing for you, just give me a try. I would love to sit and chat with you before I even pull the camera out, go through outfit possibilities, talk about your hobbies and dreams, and find out how to make your experience the best it can be.
Check out this video, feel free to click around on the blog, and fill out the contact form or send me an e-mail at email@example.com to find out more information. I have lots of goodies to share with you to make your senior portrait experience something you will want to remember.
I met this couple on a rainy, cold day to capture Amy’s beautiful pregnancy just a few days before their baby was to be born. They had never photographed one of her pregnancies before, and since this was to be the last one, she knew she had to celebrate this moment with a photography session. I love that. It was gloomy outside, but this fun, happy, so in-love couple filled the concert hall lobby with warmth and laughter. Maybe you can even feel it yourself through their images…
You know those friends you have that even though you haven’t seen them for years, when you get back together, it is as though time never passed? Those friendships are amazing gifts, and the older I get, the more I realize how rare and precious those gifts are. My friend, Maria, is one of those amazing gifts. We have been friends since the 8th grade when we were cheerleaders together, and one Friday she asked me to have a sleepover. Best friends ever since. We would stay up late watching Friday Night videos, recording it so we could rewind our favorites to watch over and over (“Kyrie” by Mr. Mister, anyone? good grief, I’m aging myself…), and making our own Oreo “Blizzards.” We were in each other’s weddings, and my husband and I have moved a lot since then, but we have kept in contact when we could, and I just cherish the times we do get to see each other. It is so fascinating to me how you can just click with certain people ~ how they get you, they care about you without expectation, and their smile just fills you up like sunshine to the soul.
I love that my family’s journey has brought us to living closer to my dear friend and her family again. We took these photos quite awhile ago, and I am so behind in blogging, but I knew I had to get these precious images on here at some point! Because look at them, seriously… I adore them.
you guys, this is where I have been for the past 4 days. not moving. my poor children bringing me toast & birthday cake (I really wanted potato chips & cake, but we didn’t have any chips… why is it that only junk food sounds good when you have the flu?) on their long holiday weekend, & my sweet hubby bringing me Coke Zero (even though I haven’t had any pop in forever ~ again with the junk food). I am beyond happy to be feeling better, & I am getting off the couch today & venturing out!! my boys have one more day off of school, & we need to make a Target run, but hopefully we can do something fun after being cooped up in here forever (not that Target isn’t fun for me, you know, but the boys might like something else…)!! yay for Monday!!
