30 minute session (immediate family only)
1 5X7 print
2 digital files (option to add more files for $20 each)
30 minute session (immediate family only)
2 sets of 25 Christmas cards (option to add more sets for $40 each)
There are just a few limited spots, so message me right away if you are interested in grabbing one!
I love this sweet family. Hanging out with them for the morning was an absolute joy… this is another reason why I love my job. More to come from their little lifestyle session soon…
I am excited to offer these beautiful cards this year to my clients to fill with images of your sweet family! The papers that these cards are printed on are just gorgeous and very different than most popular photo card printing companies. Some of the papers available are linen, watercolor, and pearl. Feel free to ask me any questions about these Christmas greetings or how you can set up a photo session for your family!
These are available as 5X7 flat cards, printed on front and back, and come in sets of 25.
Things have suddenly gotten crazy busy this fall at our house. A lot of it is because two of our kids are heavily involved in fall sports, tennis and football, and my husband refs for football, too. I feel like I have never done so much driving back and forth, here and there across town. Ever. But I am not complaining. I so love that they have found something they are passionate about and that they are active and healthy and running around. It does also make me think more often about how quickly they are growing up, and how independent they are becoming. I find myself really missing our Friday Night Pizza & Movie Nights (one of my favorite things ever), and purposefully trying to plan family fun things, even if its just a quick trip to Chipotle or a Sunday afternoon movie. And just saying yes a little more often. Because, really, I am a mom who says no quite a bit. Some of it I think is good and appropriate. Some of it I think is just because it just came out of my mouth and I didn’t really think about it. I really try to limit my kids intake of sugar, keep them off of the Xbox and get them outside, or set the timer for a good length of daily reading time, and we talk quite a bit about staying on a budget and not spending money on things we don’t need. But when I see them growing so fast right in front of me, sometimes I just want to remember to let them be kids. That there is a balance there, and sometimes I just want them to enjoy things they can do now when they are kids. Yes, they have parents who still keep an eye on them, but there are so many freedoms with childhood, and sometimes I just sit and adore and admire them, and try to soak in the joy that they have that sometimes gets lost in adulthood.
So, this week, as I was scouting out some new photo spots in a local downtown area, I crazily stopped in our favorite cupcake bakery and bought a box of cupcakes for my kids. I have never done that before. I think we’ve only been in there one time. I actually walked past the bakery a couple of times before I walked in. I said to myself, “They don’t need that sugar. I shouldn’t spend the money on something like that. I’ll end up eating some of them.” And then I just said yes. Walking out of the store with that yummy box was somehow invigorating. And I couldn’t wait to see their 3 precious faces when they saw such a fun treat. They know that this is not the norm, not to expect it to happen anytime again in the near future, that I didn’t suddenly jump on the sugar wagon and decide that they could consume ginormous amounts of the stuff. They just said thank you, and enjoyed a half of a delicious flavor of their choice, and it felt wonderful. And I had a few bites, too. The pumpkin pie and the maple bacon were my favorite.
If you live near Naperville, you probably already know Sugar Monkey Cupcakes. If you don’t, you have got to go have a taste! They are incredibly moist and full of flavor, and they have such fun flavors like mocha cookies and cream, peanut butter and jelly, lemon streusel, and seasonal deliciousness like pumpkin white chocolate truffle, pumpkin brown butter, and caramel apple… And do you see the frosting?? My weakness. They keep a menu on their website because since they are baked fresh daily, they change the kinds that they are selling each day.
AND, if you do live near Naperville, I am going to give away a gift certificate for 6 Sugar Monkey Cupcakes!! Go like my Facebook page, share the giveaway on your Facebook with this link: http://ow.ly/pJdbj , and come back here and make a comment on this post that you did those 2 things! I will randomly pick a winner! Yahoo!! (you must be able to go to the store yourself ~ they do not send them through the mail 😉 ) Giveaway will end Friday, October 25, 2013.
We had so much fun at the Back to School Mini Sessions last weekend! Here’s a sneak peek of one of the handsome little guys who came by to hang out 🙂
