I don’t remember how I discovered this candy bar, but when I did, I was head over heels. You can’t find it very many places ~ even stores that carry the Ritter Sports candy bars don’t usually have my flavor. I know that World Market always has it, so when I am in the mood for a serious special treat, that is where I go. Dark chocolate with marzipan probably isn’t a very popular flavor, hence it not being carried in many stores, but it is seriously so good!!! It deserves more credit 😉 For those of you who don’t know, marzipan is, according to Wikipedia, “a confection consisting primarily of sugar or honey and almond meal, sometimes augmented with almond oil or extract.” In other words, sweet almond goodness. I am a huge fan of dark chocolate, and I think the fact that the marzipan adds just a hint of sweetness, not too much, and a yummy texture to the middle just makes it fabulous in my book. If you love almonds and dark chocolate, you should give it a try. No really. If you try it and you don’t like it, just send the rest to me…
It’s kind of fun shooting seniors in a town we recently moved to and hear about all they do in their high school ~ how things are so different now, and different from the school I went to. Like there is a Ski & Snowboard Club, and on many winter weekends, they get together and go up into Wisconsin or Michigan and ski together. How cool is that? I absolutely stink at skiing, but my husband would have LOVED a club like that at his high school 😉
I love that Zach brought along his snow ski jacket, and we had a great time walking around downtown chatting about his senior year and all the things he is looking forward to, and the things he is still thinking about. Another impressive senior with incredible dreams that I know will do amazing things!
So, apparently I am not good at remembering what day it is. I have let a couple of Fridays slip by without doing a Friday Fav! I KNOW!! So today I am just pretending it doesn’t matter that it is Saturday and I am doing a Friday Fav anyway. Because there are not rules on a laid back, nothing scheduled Saturday, right? Love those kind of days 😉
I discovered this lipgloss a couple of years ago and have not turned back. I adore it. bareMinerals uses natural ingredients and it also has vitamins in it, and it is just one of the few lipglosses that I have found that does not clump up on me or get all sticky. Fabulous. I am addicted to the trailblazer color, but they have many other great colors, too. It is also fun because it plumps up your lips just a bit, which at first I was worried about because I have always had plenty in the area of lips, but I’ve found that it really just kind of smooths out my lips so there aren’t wrinkles in them ~ like it irons them out a bit 😉 It just has the perfect amount of color and shine. Who doesn’t need a little of that in their life?
I have known Maggie since she was a very young girl, fearlessly acting in our Christmas musical, on a stage in front of many people. It is an amazing thing to know someone as a child and then all of a sudden see them all grown up ~ grown up and so beautiful and doing wonderful things and fulfilling shining dreams. And this girl is such an incredible example to everyone she meets. Maggie, I am so proud of you! Keep being beautiful and shiny ~ on the inside and out.
