I love a canvas gallery wrap on the wall.  I have been printing my own photos this way recently to display my favorite images of my kids ;).  They come ready to hang and just simply look amazing.

Sometimes its hard to decide exactly what might look best, so I have come up with a few collections to help clients decide the best way they would like to display their favorite images.  Wouldn’t these look fantastic on your walls with your little cuties and your gorgeous family in the little squares and rectangles? 😉

{Jolie}  4 ~ 24X24 gallery wrap canvases

{Mabel}  1 ~ 24X36 and 3 ~ 12X18 gallery wrap canvases

{Lilly} 1 ~ 24X36 and 2 ~ 16X24 gallery wrap canvases

{Darlene} 1 ~ 16X20 and 2 ~ 8X10 gallery wrap canvases

{Ruby} 2 ~ 24X36 gallery wrap canvases

Prices for these collections and more new goodies to be announced soon!

tom & nina {downers grove children photographer}

April 17, 2012

Weather in the midwest can be unpredictable.  The past few months we have seen winter, summer, and spring-like weather all within weeks of each other ~ its been a temperature roller coaster!  The day we had this shoot, it was supposed to be a little cool, but the wind made it extra unpleasant to be standing out in for an hour… and then just a few days later it was in the 80’s!  So crazy… but these two withstood the freezing breeze and were troopers as I reminded them to try and relax their frozen stance before I captured their sweet smiles ;).  I was so impressed with how well Tom and Nina got along ~ they are close in age and talked and laughed like they were best friends!  Love it!  I was asking them for hints in how to get my own kids to act like that, but it just comes naturally to these two ;).

So lovely to meet you both and your beautiful mom!  I hope this move finds you staying in one place for quite awhile ;).

tiny sparrow foundation {downers grove child photographer} Image

tiny sparrow foundation {downers grove child photographer}

April 5, 2012

I don’t know if I can adequately find the words to express how amazing I think the Tiny Sparrow Foundation is, or how grateful I am to be able to be a very small part of it.  Children have always held an extremely special place in my heart, and to know that there are so many sick children in this world causes a deep ache in that piece of my heart.  I have only just begun working with the fabulous women who started this foundation, but I hope it is the start of a lifelong journey into bringing hope to these brave little ones and families facing life threatening illnesses.

I was blessed to meet this family a few months ago.  This little man charmed my heart with his smiles that were reserved for only special moments.  Several of the smiles were shared when my husband, who was along helping me, made a silly face.  My tall man either terrifies kids, or makes them laugh, and we were all so delighted it was the latter for J.  His parents are also incredible people and I so enjoyed meeting them and chatting with them as we walked around the conservatory.  You can read more about this Tiny Sparrow family and their story here, and also see his beautifully created slideshow.

Tiny Sparrow Foundation

I think this is my favorite….

happiness! ~ i heart faces {downers grove lifestyle photographer} Image

happiness! {i heart faces}

April 3, 2012

Creating images that cause the viewer to smile and feel that extra special something of emotion is just one of my favorite things.  Its like capturing that feeling and being able to go back to it whenever you want.  This image makes me grin inside and outside.  Mostly because its my own kids, I’m sure ;), and I know how much my daughter loves cupcakes, and how my son’s giggle sounds after having a little frosting war with his sister.  But hopefully even a non-related viewer feels some sort of happiness when they see it, too.

If you haven’t joined in on the fun over at I Heart Faces, you really should!  There is much happiness there today ;)… I’m sure you’ll want to share in it.
